Rescue: Injured Hiker at Smith Rock State Park

On March 25, at approximately 11:23 AM, Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Search & Rescue volunteers were requested to assist with an injured hiker at Smith Rock State Park. @smithrockpark Park Rangers and @redmondfire were on the scene at the time Search & Rescue arrived. Redmond Fire was identified as the lead medical while Search & Rescue was assigned to a low-angle belay with the wheel litter. The subject was seamlessly transported to the trailhead and transported to St Charles Bend via Redmond Fire. We greatly appreciate our strong relationship with Smith Rock Park Rangers and the Redmond Fire Department.
